Area Logistics Manager ( Vervuld )

Diversey is changing from a geographical orientation to a functional orientation. In order to reach this change Diversey decided to create the function Area Logistics Manager.

This manager will be responsible for the logistics of five countries: Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

This function will serve as the connection between the EMA strategy and the day to day operational business in the different countries. This includes the contact with the logistic managers on the location, the logistic service providers and customers.

Responsibility: This function manages all aspects of the Logistics function in the supply chain across the CENTRAL Area, covering primary transport, warehousing, sales freight and reverse logistics across all products groups (chemicals, non chemicals and TCS logistics).

You will report to the Logistics Director EMEA. You will manage 3 people directly and 37 fte indirectly.

Your tasks will include:

• Developing strategic plans for the area and EMEA and translating this to concrete actions.
• Budget responsible
• Frequent contact with logistic service providers
• Frequent contact with the internal organization
• Initiate tenders
• Improve logistic organization
• Ensuring delivering quality

Education
Higher education or university degree in operations or equivalent.
Knowledge and experience

• Minimal 8-10 years of experience in logistics, operational management, project management or general supply chain. Project management of at least one major logistics change project (US$ 0,5 MM or more).
• Know-how of logistics processes and experience with logistics tenders including provider selection; Know-how of the logistics service market in the Area; Experience with logistics IT system implementations.
• Experience in working with logistic service providers
• Knowledge and experience with SAP is preferred.
• Capability to speak fluent English and German (essential to fulfill this position)

The function includes regular travelling to the five countries described above. The work location can be Utrecht, Netherlands or Mannheim, Germany.
